Vessels
The weather has finally "stabilized" up here, and its been the most pleasant weather of the season. The water temps have stalled in the upper 60's to low 70's; the water level is still about a foot higher than same time last year; weeds are taking longer to emerge; seeing some small mayfly hatches in certain parts of lake system. Overall, guests are catching plenty of species and having fun as you'll see. Fishermen's vessels on the Wabaskang come in all shapes and sizes.

Where the Anchor Drops
So this blog was ready to put out a couple times only to get busy helping guests, and then another round of photos would come in, so here we finally go with lots to share! Well the weather shifted- from one extreme to the other. As cold as opener week was, weeks 2-4 were that much warmer than "normal" a couple days in the high 80s. All About May
Welcome to the 2026 fishing season! Wow- it's been a whirlwind since we got up to camp about 5 weeks ago. In this first blog of the season, you'll see everything happening at Tall Pines in the month of May- opening week fish pics, and a look at the late ice-out pre-season activities. Opener week started off very strong, and we are glad our anglers were awarded for putting up with some colder than normal temps, and some added nervousness due to such a late ice out. The water
